Originally from Upstate New York, Mackenzie is multi-media artist with a focus in watercolor illustrations, mosaics and interior design.  Her interior illustration work depict living spaces which have a human quality both in their content and painting style.  Carter's work is personal, often times referencing her own dwelling, those of friends and family, or places close to her.

Mackenzie resides in Bellingham with her dog, Tuna.  When not painting, she likes to spend time outdoors, learn new things and care for her garden.​
